About
Train people for the life they actually live.
FitWorks exists because most fitness is built around the wrong target. The industry sells aesthetics — we coach for performance and health. The two overlap, but only one of them lasts.
Our programming is levels-based by design. A first-time exerciser, a stay-at-home parent, and a competitive athlete can all train the same hour and all leave with the right stimulus for their body. That's the whole point: meet you where you are, then move you forward.
We're a small gym inside OpenGymLA in Burbank. We coach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness. We don't sell contracts, before-and-after photos, or 30-day transformations. We sell training that holds up over decades.
Jack Holiday, M.Sc
Head Coach
Jack holds a Master's degree in nutrition and fitness, and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has coached for fifteen-plus years across general population, performance, and combat athletes.
His coaching philosophy: programming should be principled, training should be safe, and results should be measurable in things that matter — strength, capacity, skill, and how you feel at sixty.
